Wine Country Real Estate Financing

Wine Country Financing Options – Sonoma & Napa Counties

One of the key components of purchasing a wine country property, whether it is a vineyard, estate, winery or bare land is the capital to make the acquisition.  Many buyers are going to require some sort of financing for a purchase or perhaps a line of credit during the year as part of operations.  With in mind the list below provides various opportunities for wine country real estate financing in Napa and Sonoma counties.  They also provide financing for vineyard and winery properties throughout California.

Wine Country Real Estate Financing

Most of the big name banks we are familiar with focus on residential home loans. Sometimes the will finance homes with a small vineyard. These banks typically do not lend on ag related properties or land.  Once a vineyard gets beyond a few acres in size it just isn’t in their wheelhouse.

Vineyard / Ag Financing

That is, unless they have a specific ag division.   There has been more than one occasion where an associate with a brand name lender has said there would be no problem with this type of loan.  Only to find out once the package is in front of the underwriter the loan is rejected.  I can’t stress enough the importance of working with an appropriate lender to get wine country real estate financing.

Here is a list of various lenders that have experience in wine country.   They provide financing options for real estate, vineyards, wineries, lines of credit etc..
